Fantasy Tan eliminates all the mess and problems associated with tanning creams and spray tanning booths. There is no streaky mess, orange palms, or dirty looking knees and elbows. This is a personal treatment tailored to your individual needs. No two people are alike. 

 

Spray tanning can give you the wonderful look of the sun, without dangers and long term damage of UV rays. Fantasy Tan is an airbrush system uniquely designed to apply sunless tanning spray to the body to produce a safe, healthy looking tan. A trained professional will spray the special tanning formula onto your body. The application can vary from 7-20 minutes and 5-10 minutes to dry. The active ingredient, Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), reacts with the amino acids on the outermost layer of skin to produce a beautiful tan, like the sun does, but without any damage to the skin. The tan will last between 5-12 days, depending on the way each person naturally exfoliates his or her skin. The longer and more regularly a client tans, the better the tanning effect will wear. Remember, Fantasy Tan provides no sun protection, so use sun protection as you would normally. 

 

• Although there have been no known side effects recorded with the use of the active ingredient DHA, we as an overall precaution, do not wish to spray Fantasy Tan on pregnant women. 

• Certain formulas may contain walnut extract. Do not use if allergic to nuts. 

• If you have any major illness, respiratory or skin disorders and are using any medications, please check with your physician before receiving this service.

 

Pre-Tanning Instructions: 

• Exfoliate the day before tanning. This will remove dead skin that would otherwise flake off. Exfoliation helps to promote an even coverage and lengthens the duration of the tan. 

• Shave/Wax at least 8 hours before tanning. 

• Do not moisturize the day of appointment, as some moisturizers can block absorption. 

• Avoid wearing makeup and deodorant to your tanning appointment. 

• We recommend wearing dark, loose fitting clothing to your appointment. Fantasy Tan washes out of most 

• clothing very easily, but tends to stain Nylon and Lycra material. 

• Don’t wear long boots as they affect the evenness of the tan, due to sweating. 

 

Post-Tanning Instructions: 

• Avoid sitting on light fabric/leather seats immediately after the session. 

• Wear loose clothing for at least 5 hours. 

• Wait for at least 12 hours before shaving. 

• Wait at least 2 hours to wash your hands and at least 8-12 hours before washing the tanning formula off. Avoid applying a moisturizer until after your post-tanning shower so the tan does not streak or smear. 

• Avoid excessive sweating or swimming the first day of the application to allow it to “take”. On an ongoing basis, 

• excessive sweating, swimming or over-washing will speed up the fading process. 

• Avoid waxing-preferably until the tan has disappeared.

Maintaining the Fantasy Tan: 

• Apply moisturizer after the post-tanning shower. This should be done both morning and 

• evening. Avoid moisturizers containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), as they exfoliate the skin faster. We recommend all-natural products such as Fantasy Tan’s Hydrating Daily Moisturizer. 

• Avoid long, hot showers and baths, and Jacuzzis. 

• Minimize the time spent swimming, especially in a chlorinated pool. 

• Pat skin dry (rather than rubbing) after baths/showers. 

• Take care when exercising, as heavy sweating may cause the tan to fade prematurely and/or unevenly.
